How the study system works
After admission each student receives: Training App access, video classes, NIOS Self Learning Material (SLM), academic guidance, a personal mentor, a WhatsApp support group, exam guidance and continuous student support. Study on mobile, tablet or computer, from home, at your own time.

NIOS admission blocks, last dates & late fee
NIOS admission is open online 365 days a year, but the month you apply decides when you sit the exam. Admission is organised into two blocks:

Regular Public Exam vs On-Demand Exam (ODE) — who is eligible
Regular Public Examination: a new student joins through Stream 1 (Block 1 or Block 2) and writes the block-wise Public Examination. This is the correct route for anyone taking a fresh NIOS admission.
On-Demand Examination (ODE): a brand-new admission cannot directly take the ODE. ODE is meant for eligible existing learners and specific categories under NIOS rules — typically those who already have a NIOS enrolment or who failed a previous Plus Two (Stream 3 & 4) and hold a prior mark list. It also requires the standard gap after Class 10. New students should therefore apply through the Regular Public Exam and will be guided as per the latest NIOS eligibility.
ഒരു പുതിയ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിക്ക് On-Demand (ODE) പരീക്ഷയ്ക്ക് നേരിട്ട് അപേക്ഷിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല; Regular Public Exam (Stream 1) വഴിയാണ് അപേക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടത്.
